PA GUILFORD — Guilford supervisors backed 57-home White Rock development, set zoning hearing. The township Board of Supervisors approved a land development plan for White Rock (Lahinch) off St. Annes Drive, proposing 57 single-family homes subject to fees, comments, and bonding.
The board scheduled a zoning changes hearing for August 6. Chairman Don Clapper was authorized to execute letters to South Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. and South Mountain Fish and Game stating the township has no objection to alcohol service at their events, per Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board requirements. The board denied a Fire Police assistance request from South Mountain Fish and Game for a July 11 event, citing Workers Compensation liability concerns.
The supervisors declined to fund a $51,025 tar-and-chip project for the Franklin County Public Safety Training Center over durability concerns, but agreed to match a $400 contribution toward training costs.
